The girls Amanda, Ana, Cathy, Leslie and Shara threw a bridal shower for Samantha. I flew out for the weekend and a blast was had by all. Gary and Taryn joined the fun as well.

RELAUNCH!!!!!!

So as you’ve probably already noticed, things look quite different around here. Meine damen und herren willkommen bei website gary witman v.2.0…

A week after Samantha and Michael’s wedding we all hopped into the van and drove to Philadelphia to celebrate Rachel Witman’s marriage to Brian. We stopped in White Plains to say hello to the new in laws pick up Sam and Michael and off we went for another festive event!

It seems like a lifetime ago that we were celebrating Ben’s Bar Mitzvah. He must drive by now. As many of you may know Ben used Gary’s injury as the impetus for a service project for his BM. he organized a bake sale for which friends of the Steingold’s, the Witman’s and kind neighbors near and far participated. He raised nearly $600 which was going to be used to purchase a piece of adaptive equipment. Ben and Gary discussed what would be most helpful as an assistive device to best help a quadraplegic. They decided on a voice activated phone. Ben is the best!

ITS BEEN A BUSY QUARTER…..

I apologize to all those who have asked why the blog has been stagnant. The truth is that although the pictures have been still, the Witman’s have been anything but! In one quarter we have been to the Kennedy-Krieger Hospital @ Johns Hopkins for intensive rehab for over a month, hosted a wedding at the house for our beloved oldest daughter, attended Ben Steingold’s Bar Mitzvah, Rachel Witman’s wedding in PA, started therapy in Boston and ….Oh drove to California with an entourage for Samanatha and Michael’s wedding Part Deux! However, we stopped along the way at Cleveland where Gary was examined and accepted into a national study, went to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, and then to Devil’s Tower (think Close Encounters of a Third Kind) all in one day and drove 600 miles. There is MUCH MORE. We shall share it all because we had a gas!

Stay tuned…all the pictures shall be posted with riveting commentary

Dad’s first board meeting back at Good Samaritan Hospital (now Steward Health Care.) He was thrilled to be back on campus at the hospital. Later that morning he toured the new Emergency Department which is scheduled to open this coming November.

Dad’s first checkup… it just so happens that it was on the street just one of the positives of living four houses away from the attending physician)
